A puppy<\/strong>, no more than a few weeks old, wanders down the street \u2014 ears drooping, fur messy, eyes wide with confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sniffs the ground.
Sniffs the air.
He\u2019s looking.<\/strong>
For someone familiar.
For someone warm.
For Mommy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[EXT. ALLEYWAY \u2013 MOMENTS LATER]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He checks behind garbage bins.
Under parked cars.
Behind fences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No tail wagging to greet him. No soft nudge.
Just silence and the sound of passing cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time a dog barks in the distance, his ears perk up and his tail lifts.
Then he realizes\u2026 it\u2019s not her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And his tail drops again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[EXT. CORNER SHOP \u2013 LATER]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He curls beside a storefront, watching people walk by. Some glance. No one stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He rests his head on his paws, letting out a tiny whimper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then\u2014
a gentle hand reaches down.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOFIA<\/strong>, 20s, kneels beside him with kind eyes and a warm blanket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOFIA (softly):<\/strong>
Hey there, little one\u2026 are you all alone?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The puppy looks up, unsure. Then slowly, he leans into her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[INT. SOFIA\u2019S APARTMENT \u2013 NIGHT]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrapped in the blanket, tummy full, the puppy sleeps soundly for the first time in days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t find his mommy on the street\u2026
But he found someone who would love him just the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
