The US President has signed off on an executive order to \u2018restore truth and sanity to American history\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Since being sworn in as the 47th President of the US, Trump<\/a> has signed a staggering number of executive orders (EO) \u2013 totalling over 100 so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Just a few days ago, the POTUS signed an EO concerning the running of American elections, which has been widely criticized.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n He\u2019s also put out EOs to rename the Gulf of Mexico<\/a> to the Gulf of America, an order eradicating the Department of Education<\/a>, and one that could have a massive impact on medical patients.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n And yesterday (March 27), he signed off on another demanding the \u2018restoration of Federal parks, monuments, memorials, statues, markers\u2019 alongside ensuring the Smithsonian \u2018celebrates American<\/a> history\u2019 and \u2018greatness\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The White House\u2019s website states<\/a> the order as directing Vice President JD Vance \u2013 \u2018as a member of the Smithsonian Board of Regents\u2019 \u2013 to \u2018work to eliminate improper, divisive, or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian\u2019 \u2013 the Smithsonian being a group of museums, education and research centers \u2013 alongside \u2018the National Zoo\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The order also directs the Administration to work with Congress<\/a> to ensure the \u2018future Smithsonian appropriations prohibit funding for exhibits or programs that degrade shared American values, divide Americans by race, or promote ideologies inconsistent with Federal law\u2019 and \u2018celebrate women\u2019s achievements in the American Women\u2019s History<\/a> Museum and do not recognize men as women\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The order doesn\u2019t just impact museums and centers either, also directed the \u2018Secretary of the Interior\u2019 to \u2018restore Federal parks, monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties that have been improperly removed or changed in the last five years to perpetuate a false revision of history or improperly minimize or disparage certain historical figures or events\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\nPlans to \u2018restore\u2019 Federal parks, monuments, memorials, statues, and the Smithsonian<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
